I write and research democracy, Europe, federalism, the Rule of Law and the ways in which public power is organised, exercised and held accountable. My work combines political and historical analysis with clear public communication.

I am available for commissions and selected collaborations in:

Writing and analysis
Essays, commentary, explainers, briefings and long-form analysis for publications and organisations.

Research and editorial support
Background research, source verification, the development of research dossiers, and help turning complex material into a clear and coherent publication.

Interviews and conversations
Research-led interviews with academics, policymakers, journalists and civic actors, for written, audio or public formats.

Talks and civic communication
Lectures, discussions, educational content and communication projects that make European political and institutional questions accessible without simplifying away their complexity.

I particularly welcome collaborations with media, researchers, civil-society organisations, educational and cultural institutions, and European networks. I work primarily in English and Dutch and can conduct research using sources in several European languages.

Languages
I write and publish in English and Dutch. I can also conduct research and interviews in French and German and work with Italian and Spanish sources where relevant.
